The rooms are very outdated, this hotel was in its prime 40 years ago. The staff however, was very courteous and friendly.

I loved my stay in the hotel, it went beyond my expectations, the lobby and design is beautiful. and the staff is warm and kind. They offer 3 different types of restaurants, the breakfast is very good and I was only saddened to find out that the rooftop restaurant is closed in winter. They also have a shuttle to and from the train station, which is a wonderful service. The hotel is also in a good location with a bus stop nearby and the beautiful temple Nishi Hongan-ji, which I recomend visiting. Overall me and my family were extremely happy with our stay.

The hotel staff are very very nice and kind, room is exceptional clean, location is convenient, close to the big temple and cross street are quiet beautiful traditional residential streets which bring me back to tang dynasty.

The staff was amazing! Very kind and ready to help. The Hotel itself was beautiful. The room was so clean. Shuttle bus to Kyoto station made our lives easier. I am definitely returning again.
