Atlantis The Royal is a beachfront hotel on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, offering a striking contemporary architectural style with elements influenced by the region. The property provides a private beach, a spa, a fitness center, and multiple dining options led by well-known chefs. Some accommodations include wide views of the Arabian Gulf, generous living spaces, and high-end interiors. A concierge service, business center, and boutique shops are available to support guest needs.

Location

Situated in the Palm Jumeirah area, Atlantis The Royal is a 4-minute drive from Aquaventure and 10 minutes from The Pointe. It is 5.3 miles (8.5 km) from The View at The Palm and 6.3 miles (10.2 km) from Palm Jumeirah Mall, providing straightforward access to several of Dubai’s main attractions.

Dining

The hotel features 11 restaurants and 2 coffee shops/cafes. Guests can also choose from 7 bars and lounges, 4 beach bars, and 2 poolside bars for beverages. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In-room dining is available with 24-hour room service.

Gastronomy dinner service will be unavailable from 1 July to 15 September 2025, during which guests can use other dining venues at the property. La Mar by Gastón Acurio, a Peruvian restaurant, has a planned dinner closure from 1 to 28 August 2025. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, a Michelin-starred restaurant focused on historic British cuisine, will close for lunch from 29 June to 14 September 2025 and for dinner from 30 June to 28 July 2025. Estiatorio Milos, a Greek Mediterranean restaurant known for fresh ingredients, is scheduled to close from 1 to 10 September 2025. Seascapes, a beachfront bar offering international dishes and mixed drinks, will close for lunch and dinner from 16 June to 12 September 2025.

Rooms

The hotel has 795 air-conditioned rooms equipped with minibars and private balconies. Each room offers cable television for entertainment. Bathrooms include separate bathtubs and showers, complimentary toiletries, and bidets.

Amenities

The spa provides massages, body treatments, and facials. Guests can use two outdoor pools and the private beach. The property offers complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and babysitting services for an additional charge.

Business and Events

Business services include a business center, dry cleaning and laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Event facilities consist of a conference center and 4 meeting rooms. Free valet parking is available on site.

Atlantis Explorers Club and Kids Facilities

The Atlantis Explorers Club at Atlantis The Royal has reopened after a renovation and is designed for children, with activities intended to encourage curiosity, creativity, and participation in games and structured programs.

Explorers Kids Club Age Policy

The drop-off Explorers Kids Club service is available for children aged 4 to 12 years. Children aged 3 years can use Little Explorers.

Little Explorers (0–3 Years)

There is a dedicated Little Explorers area for children aged 0 to 3 years, where nannies and parents are responsible for supervision. Guests may alternatively arrange an in-house babysitter, subject to 24-hour advance notice, additional charges, and applicable terms and conditions.

Open House Sessions

Open house sessions are no longer offered. All sessions in the Atlantis Explorers Club operate on a drop-off basis only.

Teens Lounge

A small Teens Lounge is located at the front of the Atlantis Explorers Club for guests aged 13 to 17. Teens can relax and use video game consoles and board games in this non-supervised area.

Facility Overview and Capacity

The total area of the facility is 807 square meters, approximately double the size of the previous Atlantis Explorers Club. It is located on the Promenade Level, next to the Royal Club Sea Lounge. Access is complimentary and limited to in-house guests; hotel visitors cannot use the facility. Capacity limits are 30 children at a time in Little Explorers (ages 0–3) and 15 guests at a time in the Teens Lounge (ages 13–17). The expanded layout allows children to choose between free play and scheduled activities.

Drop-Off Explorers Club (4–12 Years)

The Atlantis Explorers Club is open to children aged 4 to 12 and is a child-only environment. All children must be fully potty-trained. Advance booking is recommended but not mandatory. A parent or legal guardian aged 21 or older must complete registration before a child’s first visit. This is a drop-off facility for children aged 4 to 12 and is an indoor-only space with no outdoor access.

Session times are 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Tours for parents and guardians are available from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM and from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM. During session times, only children are allowed inside the facility; parents and personal nannies are not permitted.

The facility includes five stations: a craft station, an action station, a gaming station, an art studio, and a Ninja Warrior Course. Socks are required to use the Ninja Warrior Course; they can be purchased at the Atlantis Explorers reception. Guests who wish younger children under four years of age, or children who are not fully toilet-trained, to join activities can arrange in-house babysitting services, subject to additional charges and terms and conditions.

Meal Services at Atlantis Explorers Club

Lunch and dinner are available at the Atlantis Explorers Club from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at a cost of AED 195 per meal, per child. Pre-booking is required, and the last order must be placed one hour before the start of service (by 12:00 PM or 5:00 PM). If a child attends two consecutive sessions, a meal booking is mandatory. Complimentary water is provided to children during each session. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. All schedules and rates may change.

Little Explorers Soft Play Area (0–3 Years)

The Little Explorers Soft Play area is intended for children aged 0 to 3 years and is a new feature of the facility. The maximum height allowed is 98 cm. Operating hours are 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. Children must always be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older. Due to capacity limits, up to two adults per child are allowed, but this may be reduced to one adult per child during busy periods.

All babies must wear diapers, and a diaper changing station is available. Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Socks are compulsory for both children and adults entering the Soft Play area, and they can be purchased at the Atlantis Explorers reception. The space includes a Soft Play area and an Explorers Village (a pretend-play zone). A team member is present to assist and guide parents and nannies but does not take responsibility for supervising children. Schedules and rates are subject to modification.

Teens Lounge (13–17 Years)

The Teens Lounge is designated for guests aged 13 to 17. It is not supervised, and teens may enter and leave as they choose. The lounge offers two PS5 consoles, an Xbox, a Nintendo console, and a selection of board games. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Family Area and Temporary Facilities from 20 October

From 20 October, the Family Area located at the air-conditioned cabanas at the Royal Pool will be closed.

For younger guests, alternative locations will be provided. A temporary Atlantis Explorers Club in Sunlight Tower will operate as a drop-off facility for children aged 4 to 12 years. A welcome and registration desk will be located on the Promenade level across from the Sunlight Tower elevators. This temporary club will be available from 20 October onward, with the same operating hours and three drop-off sessions as the main Explorers Club: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

A Family Area in Seascapes Restaurant will serve as a parent-supervised space for children aged 0 to 4 years. This facility is fully outdoors with shade, ceiling fans, and water available. Operating hours are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Explorers Kids Club at Atlantis, The Palm

Guests can use the Explorers Kids Club at Atlantis, The Palm without needing to book in advance, subject to availability. Registration can be completed manually through the Atlantis Dubai app, or staff members can provide assistance. QR codes at the cabanas will direct families to the registration and booking process.

Atlantis The Royal guests are entitled to three daily sessions (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM) at the Explorers Kids Club for all room categories.

Age Restrictions Summary

The Little Explorers Soft Play area is for children aged 0 to 3 years, who must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Atlantis Explorers Club admits children aged 4 to 12 years and is a child-only area. All children using this club must be fully potty-trained.

Drop-Off Service Between Atlantis The Royal and Atlantis The Palm

Two air-conditioned buggies operate between the properties, each carrying up to 8 children. The designated drop-off and pick-up location at Atlantis The Royal is Royal Pool Cabana #1 (upper deck), which remains open after 7:00 PM for this purpose. Buggies run on request from 9:45 AM to 11:00 PM, with higher demand expected around the start and end times of each session.

Pick-Up Service from Atlantis The Palm

Pick-up transportation bringing children back to Atlantis The Royal is available until 11:00 PM. Parents or guardians collect their children from the Royal Pool Cabana #1 pick-up point.

Meal Services Linked to Explorers Facilities

Lunch and dinner for children are offered from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at a rate of AED 195 per meal, per child. If a child attends two consecutive sessions, booking a meal is required. Complimentary water is available throughout each session.

Babysitting Services

Babysitting for Atlantis The Royal guests can be arranged either in the guest room or at the Atlantis Explorers Kids Club at Atlantis, The Palm. Fees follow the standard babysitting rates. A minimum of 24 hours’ advance booking is required. Children are transferred with dedicated one-to-one care using the same transportation as the Atlantis Explorers Club drop-off service. For safety reasons, babysitting cannot switch locations mid-service, so all arrangements should be made ahead of time.
