Upon arrival in Istanbul, you are introduced to Türkiye’s largest and most influential city, situated in the Marmara region. Istanbul functions as the nation’s cultural, historical, and economic centerpiece, uniquely positioned across the Bosphorus Strait, with one part in Europe and the other in Asia. This strategic setting has enabled the city to bridge two continents and connect diverse civilizations for centuries. Once called Byzantium and later Constantinople, Istanbul was the former capital of the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, and the Ottoman Empire, a legacy that has endowed it with an extraordinary array of architectural masterpieces and cultural heritage sites.

After a generous breakfast at your hotel, you will be collected between 08:30 and 09:00 AM for a full-day, guided exploration of Istanbul. The sightseeing program begins with an exterior visit to the renowned Hagia Sophia, an iconic example of Byzantine design. You then proceed to the Hippodrome of Constantinople, historically a focal point for chariot races and large public ceremonies during the Byzantine period. Your tour continues with a visit to the celebrated Blue Mosque, famed for its exquisite blue Iznik tiles and distinctive Ottoman architecture. Next on the itinerary is Topkapı Palace, once home to the Ottoman sultans and a powerful emblem of the empire’s authority. Later, you head to the Grand Bazaar, the largest covered market in Turkey, where more than 4,000 shops offer carpets, jewelry, handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional merchandise. Following the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Istanbul. Note: Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays and will be replaced by either the Underground Cistern or the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum. The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and will instead be substituted with a visit to the Spice Bazaar.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel before setting off between 08:00 and 08:30 AM for a full-day excursion to the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara. From Istanbul, board a scenic ferry that glides past the historic Golden Horn and around Sarayburnu, offering striking vistas of the domes and minarets of Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Blue Mosque. As the ferry crosses the Sea of Marmara, you will see several charming islands dotted with traditional Ottoman-era houses. The boat eventually arrives at Büyükada, the largest and most renowned of the Princes’ Islands. On arrival, you can stroll through the island’s tranquil streets, admiring opulent Ottoman mansions and graceful Victorian-style summer villas. An electric vehicle tour allows you to pass by elegant wooden homes, lush vegetation, and coastal viewpoints. During the visit, you will have the opportunity to savor a pleasant lunch at a seaside fish restaurant and unwind while enjoying panoramic views of Istanbul’s skyline in the distance. Later in the afternoon, you return to Istanbul by ferry and are transferred back to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast at the hotel, complete your check-out formalities. You will then be transferred by a local representative to either Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW) for your domestic flight to Cappadocia; your ticket includes a baggage allowance of 15 Kgs. Upon landing at Kayseri Airport (ASR) or Nevsehir Airport (NAV), you will be met and escorted to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, allowing you to relax or explore the surroundings at your own pace. Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

This day may begin with an optional hot air balloon excursion at sunrise, offering breathtaking panoramas of Cappadocia’s valleys and distinctive fairy chimney formations (additional cost applies). Afterward, enjoy a substantial breakfast at the hotel. You will then be picked up for a guided tour of the region. Your first destination is Devrent Valley, also called Imagination Valley, known for its extraordinary rock formations that take on shapes resembling various animals and objects. The journey continues to Pasabag Valley, or Monk’s Valley, where you can observe striking double- and triple-headed fairy chimneys. The tour proceeds to Avanos, a riverside town on the banks of the Kızılırmak River (Red River), Turkey’s longest river, where you will stop for lunch. Avanos is especially recognized for its long-standing pottery traditions. In the afternoon, visit the famous Göreme Open Air Museum, regarded as the spiritual core of Cappadocia and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you will see rock-hewn churches adorned with frescoes from the 10th century that depict episodes from the life of Jesus Christ and scenes relating to early Christian monastic communities. Your final stop is Uçhisar Castle, a towering natural rock outcrop and the highest point in Cappadocia, offering sweeping views over the surrounding landscape. After concluding the tour, you return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel, taking some time to relax before departure. After checking out, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul, with flight tickets included as part of your package.
