The city’s name, Tbilisi, originates from the Old Georgian word “tbili,” meaning “warm.” Archaeological evidence reveals that this region has been inhabited since at least the 4th millennium BC. After check‑in at your Tbilisi hotel, the remainder of the day is at your disposal for relaxation or independent exploration. On the following morning, after breakfast at the hotel, your sightseeing begins around 10:00 am with a drive to OLD TBILISI for a guided walking tour of the historic heart of the city. Starting at Freedom Square, the route takes in key highlights such as the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, Metekhi Church, and a cable car ascent to the Narikala Fortress (cable car ride uphill included). You will also see the “Mother of Kartli” monument and stroll through the Abanotubani District, known for its Sulfur Baths. The walk continues along Rustaveli Avenue, the city’s principal boulevard. Time is allotted for browsing at the Flea Market and visiting Gallery Mall. Later, you will ride the modern cable car up to Mtatsminda Park (an approximately 4‑minute trip) and enjoy leisure time at the top. Returning to the city center, you will descend by Funicular. Overnight stay in Tbilisi. The next day, after breakfast at the hotel, departure is scheduled for about 10:00 am toward Western Georgia, traveling from Tbilisi to the Black Sea resort city of Batumi. En route, a stop is made in Martvili to explore the scenic Martvili Canyon and take in the surrounding landscapes before continuing the drive to Batumi. Upon arrival, check in at your Batumi hotel. The evening is free for you to enjoy a stroll along the seaside boulevard or relax at leisure. Overnight in Batumi. Following breakfast, the Batumi city tour starts around 10:00 am. The tour begins at Piazza Square, then proceeds via Medea Square and the Poseidon Statue to the Alphabet Tower and the iconic statue of Ali and Nino. Afterwards, you will board the Batumi Cable Car to ascend the hillside (the ropeway extends about 2 km), offering striking panoramas over the city, the Black Sea, and the mountains behind. Some free time is reserved for a seaside walk. Later, you will drive to Makhuntseti Waterfall to admire the natural scenery. You then return to your Batumi hotel and complete check‑in formalities if needed. Overnight in Batumi. On the following morning, after breakfast, check out from your Batumi hotel around 09:00 am and begin the return journey to Tbilisi. En route, you will stop in Tskaltubo to visit Prometheus Cave, a cave system of more than one kilometer, filled with stalagmites, stalactites, underground rivers, and impressive chambers. Afterwards, continue on to Tbilisi, where you will check in to your hotel and have time to relax. Overnight in Tbilisi. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then at approximately 10:00 am depart for a guided exploration of OLD TBILISI. Your walking tour begins at Freedom Square and covers some of the city’s most significant sights, including the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Peace, Rike Park, Metekhi Church, and an ascent to Narikala Fortress by cable car (cable car ride uphill included). You will also visit the “Mother of Kartli” monument and stroll through the Abanotubani District, famous for its Sulfur Baths. Continue along Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi’s main thoroughfare, before browsing the Flea Market and visiting Gallery Mall for shopping. Afterwards, continue the drive to Batumi and proceed to your hotel for check‑in. The evening is at leisure for you to enjoy a relaxed walk along the boulevard or explore the city independently. Following breakfast at the hotel, set out around 10:00 am for a comprehensive city tour of Batumi. Begin at Piazza Square and then continue via Medea Square and the Poseidon Statue to the Alphabet Tower and the renowned statue of Ali and Nino. From there, board the Batumi Cable Car for a ride up the hillside along a ropeway of about 2 km, offering excellent views over the city, the Black Sea shoreline ahead, and the mountain backdrop behind. Have breakfast at the hotel and check out around 09:00 am before beginning the journey back to Tbilisi. On the way, make a stop in Tskaltubo to tour Prometheus Cave, an underground complex stretching for more than one kilometer, filled with stalagmites, stalactites, subterranean rivers, and expansive halls. After the cave visit, continue driving to Tbilisi, check in to your hotel on arrival, and spend the rest of the day resting or exploring at leisure. Overnight in Tbilisi.
