From there, you will visit Metekhi Church and then take the cable car up to Narikala Fortress, enjoying the ride as well as the sweeping city views from the top. You will also see the impressive “Mother of Kartli” statue and then descend on foot towards the Abano district, known for its traditional sulfur baths. Continue your walk to the picturesque Legvtakhevi waterfall and use the free time available here to capture photographs and savor the atmosphere. Later in the day, drive to Georgia’s former capital, Mtskheta, a UNESCO‑listed town, to visit the hilltop Jvari Monastery and the revered Svetitkhoveli Cathedral. Afterward, return to Tbilisi. On arrival in Kazbegi, change to a 4x4 vehicle to ascend the rugged route leading to Gergeti Trinity Church, dramatically located against the backdrop of the Caucasus mountains.
