Begin your journey in Tbilisi, where you are greeted by a local representative and transferred to your hotel in Tbilisi. This historic and lively capital of Georgia stretches along both sides of the Mtkvari River and is encircled on three sides by mountains. The city’s name, Tbilisi, originates from the old Georgian word “Tbili,” meaning warm. Archaeological research shows that the area has been inhabited since at least the 4th millennium BC. After checking in at your hotel in Tbilisi, the remainder of the day is at your disposal for relaxation or independent exploration. After breakfast at the hotel, set out in the morning for Old Tbilisi to begin a guided walking tour of the ancient capital. The walk commences at Europe Square and features visits to Metekhi Church, a cable car ascent to Narikala Fortress (one-way ride by cable car), and a stop at the “Mother of Kartli” monument, followed by a walk down to the historic Abano district. Continue on foot to Legvtakhevi Waterfall, where you will have free time to take photographs. Later in the day, travel by vehicle to Georgia’s former capital, Mtskheta, to visit Jvari Monastery and Svetitkhoveli Cathedral. Return to Tbilisi and, in the evening, head to Mtatsminda Amusement Park, the city’s highest vantage point, offering panoramic views over Tbilisi. Enjoy free time for strolling and refreshment, then descend by tram to rejoin your transport. You will be dropped back at the hotel, with the rest of the evening free. Overnight stay in Tbilisi. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then depart around 10:00 for an excursion through the Mtskheta–Tianeti region. Your first stops are the Ananuri architectural complex and Jinvali Dam. Following breakfast, travel to the Kakheti region, celebrated as the “cradle of wine” owing to its renowned winemaking heritage, production techniques, and distinctive grape varieties. On request, guests may visit the KTW winery for a wine-tasting experience. Afterwards, proceed to one of Georgia’s most visited destinations, the romantic “city of love,” Sighnaghi. This charming town stands atop a hill, encircled by valleys and the majestic Caucasus Mountains. Visit the Bodbe Nunnery, then, on the return journey to Tbilisi, stop at the Chronicles of Georgia monument. Transfer back to the hotel for overnight in Tbilisi. On the final day, after breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for your onward flight, bringing your Georgian holiday to a close and returning home with memorable experiences from the tour.
