Very nice. Could use more laundry machine

Overpriced for the type of hotel. Beds are not very comfy, pillows were bad, wifi in basement rooms was awful. The price they charged us (+500/night) was too much for the quality. They charged like a 5 star while being a 3 star tops.

I liked this property a lot. Convenient location for food and transportation. I could've lived in the basement garden bathroom. Luxurious beyond words. The AC was a bit finicky, but really a non factor. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

​Our stay was absolutely phenomenal and truly elevated our entire trip to Kyoto. From its stunning design to its impeccable service, every aspect of this hotel exceeded our expectations. ​The location is, without a doubt, a 10 out of 10. Situated directly on the banks of the beautiful Kamo River, the hotel offers a tranquil escape while being just steps away from the heart of the action. We loved starting our mornings with a coffee overlooking the river. In the evenings, we could simply walk out the door and be in the middle of the vibrant Pontocho Alley for dinner, or take a short stroll across the bridge to explore the historic Gion district. The convenience is simply unmatched. ​The room was a perfect blend of modern luxury and Japanese elegance. It was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with incredible attention to detail. ​Finally, the service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. ​If you are looking for a special place to stay in Kyoto that combines a prime location with a luxurious and peaceful atmosphere, this is the place to stay.

We were disappointed when we checked into our room. The room appeared dated and run down and not well spaced out. So we decided to check out early.

This was a surprise hit in our trip. I booked this mainly for its convenience to the items we want to do in the city. However we were shocked at how well the place was run, the public onsen on property and the staff. I would highly recommend this for anyone going to kyoto

My second time staying at the hotel. The hotel has a great location but the service has declined. They make it difficult to get daily housekeeping, standard is every other day.

The staff was super helpful, the room was comfy and the bathroom was spacious! The location of the hotel was in a great location as well, super walkable.
