Umaid Mahal - A Heritage Style Boutique Hotel

The rooms was ok but if you want to eat at the rooftop restaurant, be prepared for some loud entertainment and insistence on you joining in.

This hotel was extremely charming with typical decor of the Jaipur; it made the fun very fun and memorable. Rooms were spacious and clean. Good restaurant in the hotel, and they can help arrange travel as needed. Helpful, friendly staff.

Good property

I recently stayed at Umaid Mahal, a heritage-style hotel that beautifully captures the essence of historic Jaipur. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the hotel's charm and the adorable, heritage-inspired rooms that provided the authentic feel we were looking for. The staff at Umaid Mahal were incredibly friendly and attentive to our every need. They went above and beyond, from providing bottled water to helping us book cabs for our daily outings and airport transfers, and even assisting with our luggage. Their level of hospitality truly made us feel pampered. They upgraded our room to the larger more beautiful room. The breakfast buffet offered an impressive variety of delicious food, ensuring we were well-fueled for our adventures each day. One of the highlights of our stay was the terrace dinner experience. The terrace is beautifully lit with lovely seating arrangements, creating a perfect ambiance. Alongside the delicious food, we enjoyed cultural dance and music performances, topped off with a charming puppet show. Do remember to tip the talented artists! Umaid Mahal is owned by the same people as Umaid Bhawan, which is the more sophisticated version of this hotel. Guests receive complimentary pickup and drop-off services to Umaid Bhawan. However, we did find the staff at Umaid Bhawan to be a bit snooty, and their terrace dining experience inferior. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Umaid Mahal for a delightful and authentic Jaipur experience.

A bit dated, needs an upgrade and with bland breakfast. But you get what you pay for essentially.

Beautiful haveli style hotel. Room was nice and spacious with modern bathroom. Very clean. Always someone cleaning somewhere. Staff were lovely. Pool was nice after very hot days in Jaipur. Breakfast was quite basic but adequate. Dinner was lovely with Rajhastani music, singing and dancing.

Great property

Beautiful hotel away from the center, so it is quieter - but also requires a tuk tuk to go everywhere. Beds are either super hard or soft, so be sure to request a room with your preference (I switched after the first night.) Staff were nice enough and became more friendly after a few days. WiFi in rooms was weak and sometimes I had to sit in the hallway. Overall, a decent room, in a beautiful property. You feel like you're in Jaipur, not some generic hotel anywhere in the world. Definitiely a memorable place to stay.
