There were some good things about this hotel, such as the location, rooftop pool, and some of the staff were very nice, but the stay was spoilt by some very poor customer service and a bad attitude from the management. We ended up having to check out early due to this, and spending time to resolve a mix up with payment upon checkout. There was also quite a bit of noise at the hotel with work going on which we were not informed about, which meant it wasn't so relaxing. Shame as the villa itself is very nice, but we will not be back.

The hotel is very clean. The view from the roof top pool is fantastic. We used it for an over night stop before going on a tour of the country and it was ideal for this. The Japanese restaurant on the roof was excellent in service and quality. Breakfast service was a little disorganised. We received the wrong order at very sporadic times but the waitress was very friendly and trying her best.

We just stayed one night after a long flight and it was a perfect place to recuperate. The staff were great . We ate at the Zen restaurant on the roof and the food was excellent. Room was stylish and quiet for a busy city - the bed was very comfortable. We were catching a sea plane from Waters Edge the next day so it was also a good location.

Comfortable. Good service. Not a business hotel as there was no work desk in my spacious room. Internet was excellent, though. Beware of the mosquitos at breakfast. Pretty vicious.

We stay here often - good quiet villa which is reasonably located to get around - rooftop pool which is small but useful to get a bit of sunshine. Rooms have all the basics but vary in size - but all good for a short stay. The suite is very big and well appointed if you want to spend a bit extra. They have a Japanese restaurant on the roof as well - reasonable food but a bit pricey - but handy on nights we fly home. Breakfast is basic but it very pleasant on the patio next to a Japanese garden. The staff are very good and keen to help. We like it because we can have business meetings there in a relaxed comfortable environment.

Staying at Zylan's was the greatest experience we had in Sri Lanka! We met the owner in person, luckily. And she was a very sweet and nice lady. She gave us so many good tips for traveling in Sri Lanka. She also recommended us for car rental during our chat, due to we are going to a new city every single day, and we have kids and luggages, which turned out to be a great decision! Overall, I would totally recommend staying at Zylan's and would personally go back again!
